So your original life - your friends, your family - pretty soon, all of that will just fade away.īarry Allen: Why isn't it happening to you?īarry Allen: What the hell's so funny?Įobard Thawne: Your speed! The more you use it, the faster you lose your memories.īarry Allen: No. This new reality you've created is starting to overwrite the reality that you and I know. What's happening to me?Įobard Thawne: I was wondering when you'd notice.īarry Allen: It's like I'll be thinking of a moment from my past and then it vanishes.
+Jesse & Harry's return to the team +Balance in humor & heart +Finding the 'other way' +Gorilla madness 9.Eobard Thawne: And here I was starting to think you'd forgotten all about me.īarry Allen: But I am forgetting. Seems a bit dark for the show, so for now, let's just enjoy the time we have with 3 good speedsters on one show. Pick between 2 of his loved ones (Iris and Wally?) to have to either kill/or let die at the hands of Savitar. This all begs the question if Barry will have to make a similar choice as Oliver did in season 2 of Arrow. With The Flash putting away baddies, and then having them escape every now and then, can't be the most encouraging thing. Contemplating killing his villains seemed like a stretch at first, but I feel like it's something that should have probably come up sooner anyway. I don't believe Iris will die at the hands of Savitar, but I like the moral dilemmas that this event is proposing for the team. We got a tease for another speedster, The Accelerated Man, an apparent return of Savitar (it's about time), and a message for the rest of the season, "find the other way". It was nice to have the gang back together tonight, especially since it meant two separate versions of Tom Cavanagh). It's not like a marriage would change their dynamic all that much since they're already living together, but that seems like something that will be held off until a few seasons down the line. Not totally unexpected, since she may not be here much longer anyway, but for some reason I can't help but think this won't go down for a long time. Do I care for that relationship? Not really, but it's sure as heck entertaining. Cisco pined for Gypsy again and she somewhat reciprocated. That still makes little sense due to the fact that they barely know each other, but if it means more Violet Beane/Jesse this season then I'm all for it.

Jesse officially confirmed to Harry that she's moving to Earth-1 to be with Wally. No matter, there wasn't too much focus on the couples. thought it would be a good idea to celebrate "friends day" (Earth-19's version Valentine's Day) which makes another holiday celebrated a little late for a CW show. There was just enough action, intrigue, and tease for the future to satisfy my needs for the show. Although we didn't get a ton of time spent with the three speedsters, Jesse, Barry, and Wally, everything was balanced out incredibly well. That, and we got a bada** Gorilla showdown as Gypsy played a part in bringing back Solovar to take down Grodd.
Maybe it was because most of this episode took place at night, thus it being harder to see any CGI gaffes, but man this episode was impressive to look at. But the two Wells', the romance between Gypsy & Cisco, and the few surprises made the episode about as fun as the show has been all season. On one hand, the looming threat of Grodd and (ultimately) Savitar gave the episode an ominous tone.

Tonight's Flash episode is a prime example of how to properly balance the two. I complained that last night's Supergirl episode had a difficult time balancing the comedy and drama.
